Hey got a 92 325is, and I have a dash light on and was wondering what it meant. I have no owner's manual so I can't look it up. The light that is on is on the right side of the dash and it looks light a circle, with 3 slashes down each side? DOes anyone know what this means? Thanks

It's the brake wear indicator. It means that you need new pads, or you need to replace the little sensor wire that trips when the pads get too thin, causing the light. There is one on all four wheels, so check your pads!

Hope this helps!

Actually I just replaced my front pads and rotors and I can attest that there is not a sensor on each corner. On the front driver pad there was a sensor however there were no sensors on the passenger side pads.

Send a message via AIM to 93 325i
yea 2 sensors..one for front and one for rear. If the light is on then that means you need new pads AND a new sensor. You may also need rotors as well depending on their condition..
