i have hear some really good things about the Koni Cup Kit. I found it on Tirerack.com for $700. Which doesn't sound awful if it owns up to its reputation. My question is concerning the drop that it gives you. It says the front will drop 2.1"!!! And I have 18" wheels with 225/35/18 on, so I REALLY don't want to rub. And it sounds as if I would stand a good chance of it with this kit. I would just like your reviews and suggestions
I also saw the Koni shocks with H&R springs. the performance springs hsould lower about 1.5" which sounds a lot safer. However, I think that package is a little more than the cup kit, and I have heard hte cup kit is better. any reviews would be great. thanks.,

Check out page 21 on this forum. There is an article by someone called "blacktape" who instllalled a H&R cup kit on his car. He seems to like it, but I don't think he has 18's.
The H&R kit gives you about the same lowering as the Koni.

It's under "just got my suspension installed" thread by "black tape". someone asked him what kit he had and he answered "H&R" cup kit. lowered it 2.1 inches in front and 1.5 inches in back. He even put pics up on the thread. Anyway, he seems to like it.

i thought i heard somewhere that the h&r cup kit is a waste of money. it lowers the car too much and the spring are not stiff enough so the car bottoms out and is bouncy. i have bilstein sport shocks with h&r sport springs. it is a great combo. different setups are going to vary in price for a reason: quality.
uhh... lets be more specific with the above information.
First of all the Cup Kit, I have only heard good things, except that it puts too much rear camber and causes excessive tire wear with out the use of camber plates to adjust.
Second H&R sports are the springs that only lower .75 inches and do not have a higher spring rate. Are these the springs that you (collectively) are reffering to?
