Corner light problem

The corner lights seems to have a "low" orangish mode (they are white corners) that stay on when the car is running, but --only the left side does this--. Both sides flash a nice white "high" when i use the turn signals for the appropriate side. What gives? is there a light leak from the headlights to the left corner? or a wiring splice that shouldn't be there maybe?

im not clear on what your talking about. do you have aftermarket corners?

yeah they are aftermarket whites. When i turn on the headlights the left corner white light is in an always-on orangish low glow. When i use my left turn signal it flashes a brighter turn signal like normal as does the right corner. but the right corner one is NOT in the continuous low-glow. I looked at the wiring and it has been taped up into clean, tidy, "May-god-have-mercy-on-your-soul-if-you-ever-want-to-get-one-of-these-fuckers-open" electric-tape "tubes". Help?
