cooling fan

my cooling fan isn't coming on. anyone know some way to fix this without buying another one? or mabey trying to find out exactly why it's not coming on??

If its a viscous, I would say its dead.

which fan, the front auxiliary fan in front of the ac condenser and radiator, or the engine driven fan between the radiator and engine

the front auxiliary doesn't come on all the time, only when the temp of the engine reaches a certain point and it trips the fan switch does it come on, or sometimes when your car is stopped and idling for a while

if it's the engine driven fan, you might as well just remove it, and do the fan delete mod, basically involves removing the fan and adding a lower temp thermostat and fan switch, the fan on these cars are basically ticking time bombs you don't really need it and it's supposed to free up some hp by removing it don't know about that one, but I have seen a number of people get their radiators and other engine bits torn up by exploding fans

Mine exploded last week and took out my radiator and put some nice dents in my hood
