| coolant question about my 2005 325xi okay does it mean anything that the coolant light comes on when the engine is still cold but not when it is warm. currently, it's going down to the 50's at night. when i take my child to bus stop at 0600 the light is on. later in the day, the when temp is higher, the light doesn't come on, so i don't thinks it's an overheat issue. i tried this morning after car cooled down to remove reservoir cap to see the coolant level, but it's too tight and another part (maybe the air intake) is kind of in the way, so i can't get a good grip. i would hate to take car to bmw if it's likely that it's only the engine being cold, but then again i guess i'm going to need antifreeze either way since it goes below 30 degrees in this state. any thoughts, or do i already have the answer? thank you |
