Convertible Woes

99 323ic conv. boot won't close all the way down once the top is down. One side closes just fine but the other stays open a couple of inches. I can push it down but it wont stay down. Any ideas of what's wrong?

I found the problem and the fix was very easy. Seems there's a bracket the fold down cover engages on the way down that had failed to pop back up and wouldn't secure the cover properly. I popped it back up and now it works fine. Sorry about the lack of proper description but i'm new to this.
