I went to put the top down on my 323 the other day and it got stuck half way up/down. It would not go either way by pushing the button. I got out and manually pulled the back part of the top down and then re pushed the button and the top went to closed position locking the clips in the front of the car. Now the convertible light is blinking and when I push the button up/down I have a loud clicking coming from the trunk that last about 15-20 seconds but the top does not move. Anyone have this problem or know of a fix other then taking it to the shop???

it sounds like a problem for a professional to look at. ive experienced that with convertables it can and always will be something different. if could be anythiing from the motor, it not being in place properly.. unfortunately over the internet i cant help you so much as to guess at what it could be. my honest opinion is to save yourself time and grief and take it to a pro. good luck, and lemme know what you find.
