conversion troubles

hi, i had a 95 e36 318i and converted it to a 325i. the engine is in and wired up correctly {i think} it turns over and has fuel but will not spark properly. can anyone help me. cheers. oly

So there's no spark at all ? or there is but not good???

today weve actually had a spark and it did run today but now weve switched it off it wont start again. just random sparks.

Sounds like the crankshaft sensor playing up, is it the one that came fitted to the new engine?, if so it might be faulty, swop it out with the one on your old engine if its the same.
