I'm thinking about getting this conforti shark injector for my car. It's engine is currently completely stock. How much hp (and torque if any) would I gain from this, and do I need to upgrade anything else to get the effects of it such as intake, or does that package contain everything I need? Also can you please explain exactly how this will help the car performance (such as less delay when flooring it, or quicker acceleration, or what?)

Thanks!

Yea i also wonder how much hp gain youll have?
I have a 97 328i and im looking into getting one myself.

I also read the directions on how to install the injector and it seems pretty easy except for the "extra battery charger" you need?

Can somebody explain that to me cause I dont get that at all?? used

hey
i shark injected my car last week. All the battery charger thing means is you got to go to like Sears or something and buy a battery charger. Connect one end to the wall outlet at home and the other end to your battery. The main purpose of this is while the reprogramming (sharking) takes place it requires a constant voltage and any variation could mess up the process. So thats why to connect 10A across your battery.
They claim some very high gains but I am not sure how much it gives realistically. I am thining atleast 10 ? although the key thing to remember is it only shows (kinda) at extremely high rpms 5-6K , so be prepared to become a high rev driver to feel the diff...thats the change i had to make.
I think if you get the confronti CAI you can double the gains, so is the claim atleast.
Check this out if you guys havent already:
http://www.koperformance.com/bmwshark.html

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detai...UCT_ID=INJ3-M20

see the dyno graphs on the turnermotorsport page , they show gains with sharking and with sharking + JC CAI

hope this helps

So the Shark is simply a reprogrammer, correct? I'm wondering why more people do not share these/split the cost. It seems like somewhat of a high price considering the realistic gains in performance. Or maybe these can't be reused?

I'm not to familier with this whole sharking business, but when it comes to tuning cars I've always been under the impression that chipping your car is one of the last things you should do so you can get it programmed to how you have it set up. Am I wrong with this whole sharking business??

As far as I know, most BMW chips/ sharking work ultimately the best once you do upgrade to aftermarket exhaust/intake. However, I don't think when you add them is an issue. Once a chip is produced, it remains that chip, unless further modded from that point. But straight gains with a Turner chip and sharking have been noticeable without the other mods...
