T/C and S/C are very realiable. but the there are disadvantages to both. S/C system are belt driven, the belts tend to slip(sometimes) and break. T/C they are exhuast gas driven and have lag. and when the car is cold and the turbo is cold. its best to not use turbo power, just the vacumm. and before you park your car, you should drive just using vacumm to allow the turbo to cool slower to prevent the turbo from premature wear.
