3-Series (E36)Chat relating to the BMW 3-Series from 1992-1999. Autodoodad
Specific models include: BMW 316i, BMW 318i, BMW 318iS/ti, BMW 320, BMW 323, BMW 320, BMW 324, BMW 325, BMW 328.
I'd go for something like a Pheonix gold over light (dakar) yellow with a high gloss laquer.
Techno Violet is another fave.

I would have say that you should stick with black. I like the other suggestions for colors, but the only problem is that if you paint the rest of your car a different color the engine bay won't be the same color along with a few other areas.
This could affect your resale value if u ever sell the car, and to me it would look wierd.
Unless you decide to pull the engine and paint the inside of the engine bay, but that would be a waste of time and money.
just my 2 cents

Black 4 door 1990 325i
15"x7.5 Ronal LS-wrapped in 205/50-15 Bridgestone Potenza G009
Bmw1990, they paint the engine bay over here as well.. and they dont need to take the engine out.. surprisingly they do it really well.. The paint job will cost me about 500USD.
hmm,, yes i agree with some of you that i shud keep the black color, but its too hard to maintain..!! have no time to keep it shining like before.. ahhaha it rains here too often and those dried rain drops really make obvious stains on my car..
