i just noticed a clunk or thump sound in the right rear when the car is leaned into a corner. i work for honda and have a lot of experience with them but my recent purchase of my 97 328is has brought me into a new world. my first guess would be sway bar links or ball joint that has worn out in the 117,000 miles it has been in use.
i am hoping someone may have experienced a similar noise and could tell me what was done to fix it.
thanks
Bill

i assume you hear this when your driving right? i can only think of a few things , one is you could have a dead shock (check for bleeding) two you could have bad shock mount.... lastly off the top of my head i think you should check your rear bushings
It's your Rear Shock Mount (RSM). You need to replace them before the shock shoves through the rear frame. Also do the push-down test on the rear of your car to see if the shocks' are blown
i'll post the results here . . . i am hoping to have them in by the weekend, but i have to find some XZN and female torx sockets to get the job done i think.
