Climate Control Stuff - BMW Forum

My GF's 328is has been having this weird issue with the climate control. She turns it on, and nothing happens. However, after about 5 minutes or so, the air will come on. I've been doing some reading, and it doesn't sound like the resistor in the climate control unit (digital). Could it be the blower itself? Any suggestions would be helpful.

does the lights around the display stay on (air direction buttons, ac button) and the display shuts down? but it will come on eventually?

i got a car with this symptoms today ,im going to check it tomorrow ,ill post tomorrow the fix .

Again, This doesn't have the symptoms of a faulty climate control. It won't turn on the blower at all. Any other ideas?

i was way too busy and coulnt check it out, the problem im describing shuts the blower motor and the display backlit , but in minutes sometimes 1 or 10 mins the blower kick in and the display iluminates.

i will check on the link of fredo328 and see if my prob is that. thanks.

I have been having the same issues with mine lately. The capacitor in my climate control failed, however, I replaced it a while back, and it is not exhibiting the same systems. It is like sometimes the blower will just not turn on. If I turn off the car and restart it, it will usually fix itself. it is really annoying and I can't figure out what is doing it.
