The knob by the vents controls temperature of the air. If you revolve it you go from blue (for cold air) to red (for hot air) The more dots on each section represents how much hotter or cooler the air will be. The knob with temperatures is climate control and the system will try to regulate itself based off whatever that temperature is set at comparison to outside.

If you want AC, make sure the knob by the vents has blue dots on it. If you want heat, make sure the knob has red dots. If you want air from the outside set it to the center where there will be a white dot or hash.
