I looked around ebay, and found a few up for auction. I noticed they had different part numbers than mine though. Mine says it is bmw part # 8 379 521. Does it matter?
I got my replacement on ebay...used...it works fine and I replaced it myself. So long as they are the same model digital climate control modules, they will be compatible. I definitely suggest this as it only cost me $160 as opposed to getting a brand new replacement from the dealer for about $400-500...

I'm not even sure my computer is bad, so I'm a little nervous about buying a new one. No one has been able to help me figure out the problem though. I'm begining to feel like this forum is a complete waste of time.
the car won't blow air for about 10 minutes, then it's fine. If it's really warm out, it will work as it should. It only does it when the temp drops below 70. THe colder it gets, the longer it takes to blow air. I've already replaced the blower resistor. I did the climate control DIY, and that didn't work. It seems like the only things left are the Final stage unit, and a possibly defective climate control board.
I think your problem is with the final stage resistor.
I have answered this question in your other thread. Check it out.
My dealer let me try a new resistor righ in their parking lot, as it is a plug/unplug unit just to make sure I was buying the correct part. Ask your dealer if they'll allow you the same thing?

check it out the guy is selling it for $80
Note - What is being quoted as selling on ebay is the trip computer which has nothing to do with heating/ac and NOT the climate control unit..
Most climate control units usually end up being sold in auction from $150 and up.
