long answer: yes, it will, but you have to convert the entire CC system, which isnt cost effective. I remember this being discussed long ago on the planet, and i think someone figured it would be $700 (not sure, but i think this was the amount) to make the swap, plus the cost of the new panel.
Ive also heard people with the digital wish they had the old style, cuz its a bitch to change the temp fast with the new style.

its not really a bitch to change it fast..theres like 14 or so stages of how hard it blows out. you press the button and it goes down 2 notches. so if you have it on full blast and want it all the way off, you just press the button 7 times. but if you have it on a normal level like 4, you just press it twice and it shuts off.
ARE YOU SERIOUS??? $700 to switch over to this climate control. I thought it was just an easy plug in situation. I guess won't buy it now. Any other suggestions on this item is appreciated.
By the way - in a digital version, is it possible somehow to make it NOT turn on the A/C every time you start the car? I turn it all the way off - next morning it's up and running again.

what year is your car. On newer models, the key actually contains some info about the driver, and they car reacts accordingly. This includes memory seats, i think DRLs, AC, stuff like that. Im not sure if the e36 has this, but later ones might. The dealer will know. Give them a call and see if thats it; they be able to reprogram the key if it is.

no not yet! unfortunately i don't own a digi-cam or have no access to one. I promise to post pics soon! Also, Ski I did not mean any foul play with my other post in the members lounge. People started gangin up on me and I found that very insulting. So if you all are going to ban me, then do so, because I don't appreciate the treatment some members are giving me in this forum. It was all clean humor and people started making a fiesta about it.
