Clicking From Auto Gear Selector ?

Hi

only had the beemer few days, was coming down the m1, at about 80 and herd this twang noise, and its an automatic , in normal mode it has started making a fast clicking noise yet all the gear changing is fine, drives fine, and in sport mode again fine, just clicks its arse off from what i can see is from around the shifter bit

anyone be kind enough to shed some light onto what it could be .... it will drive me mad ...

The sound deadening over the gearbox drops of the tunnel and can hit the front prop-shaft and coupling I’d have a look at that first
