I finally got a round to dropping my Euro spec corners, markers, and tails on my car tonight.
I didn't have a chance to swing by the the store and grab replacement bulbs so I have the stock clear bulbs still in there.
I have to admit, I actually like the look of the white lights for my signals. I broke out the digital camera but could not grab a shot of the markers in action.
1. Are they legal?
2. There is always a certain level of class I believe a BMW must maintain at all times..... Am I crossing that invisible line from classly to guacky?
3. I dropped a broke one of the front corner bulbs while changeing out lenses. I grabbed whatever I had on the shelf and stuck it in there, and this bulb doesn't light up when the parking lights are on (only blinks when I hit the turn signal) and it look HOT with the DDEs on (and no corner bulb light on) Is that legal as well?

the clear corners them selves are legal... however i think it is law that they must blink orange or red... (red in the case that you car doesnt come with orange turn signals...

i know tehres the diy where your front turn signals arent orage when you are driving around, and only blink when you turn them on... i would think this might not be legal but they wouldnt get you for it... its the front of you car.. and i think it looks really good when the fronts are always glowing orange
I have clears and white bulbs...I think they look great...as far as legality, they ARE illegal, although I doubt you will get many tickets for them. I've been right in front of cops using them, and I rarely get pulled over. If you're going to get dinged for white blinkers it's going to be by the same assholes that will ding ya for a front plate delete.
All valid points. Im a little bit older now, and at a point in my life where I am more readily willing to sacrific style in the name off keeping points of my license
On sportbikes it is common to relocate your license plate to the wheelwell of the bike (usually behind the tire) This is done to clean up the look of the tails of our bikes, and it looks especially sweet on my CBR, but I got pulled over 6 or 7 times this year and wound up paying $300+ in fines. *admittedly there were 1 or 2 instances where I was pulled over for speeding and the plate ticket was given as a mercy ticket.
Sure most cops leave ya alone, but if they are looking for motivation/reason to pull ya over its usually better not give em one. My car is beginning to look more like a 16 year owns it instead of a 26 year old lol.
I'll have to think about this one for a bit, last thing I need is get pulled over because my blinker is white after having a few drinks on a Saturday night.

I'm not a big fan - mostly because everyone around here puts clear corners on their rides - be it an 80's Chevy S10, or a Ford Astrovan, or a Civic, or a Bimmer.
I like it better stock just because it makes it stand out relative
I do like the rear lights clear though - the fronts just start to look a little racerboyish to me.
yah, its technically legal only if the light itself glows orange...mine are clear though and i havent had any problems with them yet.
btw to someone saying glowing red or orange, im pretty sure red is as bad as clear if a cop wants to be an ass and give you a ticket.

Sorry sean but I gotta step in and show you that you're wrong =P Red blinkers HAVE to be legal as many many cars use them: NSX, Mustang, Corvettes etc. Hell, I think even ferraris use red.
