Cigarette Lighter Broken

Does anyone know how to diagnose the ligher? Fuse, cables, buy a new one, I just found out that mine does not work, when I tried to use my cell phones car charger. WTF?

Check fuses in your engine bay, you probably just poped it. Try if the actual lighter element will get hot, if it does, then your charger thing dosn't fit right.

i have the same problem.., if i push the lighter down, then it stays down, doesn't pop back up!!! u sure its a fuse?? what else could it be!

most probably its your fuse... i just blew two of them cuz i had a dime stuck in there... check your fuse box under the hood...the fuse for the lighter is 30 amps and its the second one from the bottom left if you stand on the side towards the fender... i have a 92 325 incase your fuse box is located some other place than mine... u can jus refer to the diagram on the fuse box cover...
