Chipping Trim Around The Tweeters In The Front Do

I have chipping trim around the tweeters in the front door panels, can these be replaced.

This is a common problem with BMW as I found out when i wanted to replace mine. You cannot buy the trim and must repace the whole tweeter as they are not separate pieces. There are some after market places that make the trim but the only trim i have ever seen was crome and that was a while ago. I believe it was from a site in the UK. By the way the tweeters are like $80 from the dealer.

Oh yeah you can check out the audio section and search there I know this has been talked about before. I don't have time to look forthe link right now, but tonight after work if no one else has helped I will look it up.

yeah that was me that started that convo in that section...I never got any help.
I also still got chipped trim around my tweeters...but I did my research...

you have 3 options:

1) Buy the chrome adhesive back rings from www.autowerks.com or the UK website. for about $60.

or

2)Go to BMW and buy the replacement tweeters for $36 a pop...total $73-$80 bucks for a pair.

or do what I'm doing...

3) search on ebay until you find the right tweeters in the right color and condition for your car. I usually see them selling for $20-$30 per tweeter all the time.

Hmmm.... sounds like a trip to the BMW service department.
