Hey guys! I finally received my chip. Anyways, the ebay guy said he would include instructions but he didn't and I have no idea how to properly install this. I've emailed him but can't wait for the response, I want to install this now. Can you guys can inform step by step on how to properly install my chip. Thanks a bunch!

Haven't had the time to install it till now. My question is do i have to disconnect the battery before I take the chip out???? Let me know, I'm ready to perform the surgery!!!

so i performed the surgery with much success w/out unplugging the battery. There's good news and bad news.

Good news is i noticed a change in pickup, so obviously its much quicker but I don't think it gained 15hp like it said it would. nonetheless i felt a difference.

Bad news is that i noticed that when the rpm reaches 4 1/2 it somehow feels like its redlining. Is that the outcome of these chips, you accelate faster but loose top rev limits, or isn't it your red line is suppose to be higher after you install this??????? used

I'm not an expert in racing/performance chips so please feel me in, i'm perplexed.

It should have raised the RPM about 500 over stock. IF it truley feels like its redlining, it could have messed up the tach.

what is a performance chip? what does it do to your car? does it affect your mpg?

It just increases the efficiency of you car. It can give you better gas mileage, but it can also hurt it. It depends on what type of demand you give the engine. Under normal conditions, mpg goes up, but if you slam the gas for more power, you will get increased performance and HP, but lower mpg, obviously. Also, you'll have to get 91+ octane fuel.
