Well I have been shopping for a good chip for a while, and I have finally come to the conclusion that there has to be a better way to get the chip you want with out spending upwards of $150. Well recently I went to a friends house to turbo his 95' civic ex and he showed me how he is gonna change his chip to allow for forced air enduction (mechanical asperation). He has a program and an external port that he just plugs the chip in and opens the program and can change anything from the rev. limiter to you name it.
Here's the question, do any of you know where one could aquire such a program for BMW?
>Thanks
I am not sure what "device" your friend has but I guess it is an Eprom reader.
And I think the software is the same for all vehicles , you just need to know what to modify and how much
I think whole stuff will cost you more than 150 bucks.... and even more if you screw up the data in the eprom.
Sounds like a 'piggy back ecu' that connects to the ecu. You can change whatever you want via laptop but I don't know any for bmws but they're out there.
