Lightbulb checking the transmission fluid level on a 1998 318i
cant seem to find the dipstick for the transmission for my 1998 318i.
Does anyone know of any links for diagrams for this car?

There isn't one... You have to remove the filler plug on the side of the box to check level/top-up. Put your finger in this hole, If you don't get tranny oil on it then it needs topping-up !
There is also a plug at the bottom to drain the old oil if you need to change it.

ya it was behind the radiator but it sat about a foot down in between the radiator and the engine
