why does my brake light error pop up when it still works... it comes on as it pleases but all the times that ive checked it when the brake light circuits error pops up my brakes still work.... help please?

All 3 brake lights work at normal brightness? None are after market LEDs?

no they not aftermarket.... i sure that the normal 2 work but i not sure about the one above the trunk

Check all the wire connections in the housing. Check to see if any of the connector pins are burnt of slightly discolored. Also make sure that you have the right replacement bulbs in the right places. Any difference in voltage through a burnt out connection or misplaced wrong bulb will trip the computer error even though the lights still work.

Hey that happens to me too. I took it to a guy who especializes in Bmws and Mercedez and he found out that it a little circuit that goes bad. I checked my 3 brake lights whenever it popped up and they all seemed to work. When i replaced the brake light circuit it quit popping up

probably the brake light switch, it's located under the driver side kick panel, it's a white switch that the brake pedal engages, it's a bitch to remove and replace, actually nevermind if that was bad, most likely the lights wouldn't come on, probably an electrical issue somewhere, wish I could help but I don't have much experience with it
