misfire is what causes CEL to blink and then stay on after it is not corrected.
Light gets dim and bright... *hmmm, i would have the battery & alternator checked too. Usually batteries that can't hold a charge will cause that.
Incidentally, not enough voltage into your injectors is also a cause for misfire.
Then, plugs, wires(if any), coil/s will be your next line of suspicion
