Yes, I hear Sheldon chastising me, for the last month... my local indy wants to charge $100 to diagnose it... before I HAVE to do that, any ideas, or a test I can do myself? There is absolutely NO sign of any symptoms that worry me, it is operating perfectly except for that annoying light. Thanks!

Depending on where you live most Auto parts stores can scan the OBD system for codes for free. If their isnt one of these places around one option is the Peake scan tool, availble for $100-150. It allows you to scan the codes yourself. The inital cost is high but in the long run well worth it.

Don't panic !! The CEL activates even if you fart sometimes... As long as the oil and coolant are ok then it is quite safe to run, making sure there are no overheat issues. Maybe just a poxy misfire or fuel grade prob... Or a dodgy piss-poor lamda !! Don't kill yer mom over it matey !!
