I have a 1995 318i and the ce light does not come on at all. Because of this I am unable to pass the CA smog test. The light should come on when the ignition is in the on position and go out when the engine starts. I have taken it to two mechanics and neither one could figure it out. Does any one have any suggestions?
Is the light burned out? It is just a bulb in the back of the instrument cluster. You will most likely haveto removethe instrument cluster to gain access to the bulb holder.
