Does anyone know how to reset the check engine light on a 323is without the tool? I figured out what pins to cross to reset the oil and service lights. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

I cut a small piece of speaker wire off (2-3-inches) and used that. Just make SURE that you're poking the right hole. 10 secs- to reset service light 3 secs- to reset oil light.

I know there's several DIY's in this forum in regards to this as well.

I know to use pins 7 and 19 for the oil and service indicators but I just changed out the secondary air pump and pump control valve and the check engine light never went off. I was told to purchase a device that would reset the check engine light. However I don't want to spend the $138 for a device that I don't need. Do you know what pins to cross to reset the check engine light? Thank you.

Go to AutoZone, if one is located around where you live.
They will read the code and RESET for FREE.

OR
You can wait for few more days and it will reset [by itself] after 40 on/off cycles.
Yes, it will reset itself. The car would have to go through 40 or so cycles with no errors.
