Check Engine Code 1222: Lambda Control #1 ?

I've been away out of the country since last year September and left my 1995 318i in storage at the garage at my Mom's home. The tank was not full when I left it parked. Came back last week and saw my gas guage was on E and the light was on (it wasn't on when I parked it last september).

Now I restart everything, charge the battery, refilled the tank (I didn't do my oil fluids change as yet) and drove her a few miles and the CHECK ENGINE light comes on. When I pull the code I get 1222 aka Lambda Control #1.

Quote:
Lambda Control #1 :This code is stored when the DME detects excessive deviations in the air-fuel mixture (too rich or too lean) for longer than 10 seconds. Possible causes: Fuel tank ran empty, Incorrect Fuel Pressure, Injector valve defective or coked, Engine Temperature Sensor defective, Secondary air leak, Fuel evaporation control system defective, Air Flow Meter defective and/or the combustion is being disturbed by mechanical failure (Spark plugs,, compression, intake/exhaust valves, ...etc.)
My AMF is still new and was replaced in 2005 (30,000 miles ago) and I'm hoping its not the O2 sensor but could it be as simple as the tank going empty whiles I was away?
