I was driving my car for 5 hours this weekend and for some reason my check engine light would come on and the engine would cut out for a second and then it would go away. A minute later it would happen again. This went on for 5-10 minutes and then it went away for the rest of the ride. It happened on both rides to and from and was wandering what it could be. I was thinking fuel filter cause it seemed to be something with that.

Did you get an error code? Could be many things, need to know what code was thrown.

I wouldnt be able to pull a code because it only happens while i am cruising around 75mph. The check engine light only stays on for a second too so i dont know if a code would be able to be pulled

What year and model is the car? There may be a code stored and no light, but I think it matters whether it's OBDI or OBDII. Not a 100% sure, though.
