Check Brake Light Circuit? - BMW Forum

Getting this on my information center console. I turn the vehicle off, and it goes away. My brake lights are working while this error is on. Any hints? I saw the warning about the trunk wiring and I'm going to go check that out too. Does anyone know if this can be related to that? Just before, I had hit a bump and the ABS light and ASC off light both illuminated. One hard acceleration, and both went off. Could the two be related to each other? Maybe a loose ABS/Brake sensor?

The ABS & ASC were doing their job, sensing traction loss............

Brake Light Circuit Failure is a common problem with the E36.......easy fix!

Thanks!! There was no traction loss, however. The lights stayed on for about 5 minutes. I even stopped, got out at Autozone to get some oil, came back out, started the car, and both were still on. It wasn't until I accelerated hard that the lights went back out. I'm thinking possible loose sensor?

Edit: but that Brake Light circuit thing will come in handy!! Thanks!!

Did it again tonight. It is definitely a loose connector or corroded cable. I'll start checking them this weekend.
