changing fuel injector

Hi all,

I recently did an Inspection II(in which they changed my spark plugs) at the stealershop.

After that my car idled roughly, shakes a lil bit something like cylinder misfire. Then my check engine light came on so i took it again to the dealership and now they report that the fuel injector in cylinder 3 needs to be changed.

They report the cost for changing the fuel injector in cylinder 3 and cleaning the other fuel injectors will be $540. I am like damn u dealership u guys r defn the stealershop.

My experience with cars is minimal but i wud like to learn. I found this url which gives a good DIY on changing the fuel injector -

The favor that I wud like to ask is there any1 in the Portland, Oregon area who can help me changing the fuel injector. If you can atleast provide with some guidance on how to do this it will be great. Or if u guys also know of a mechanic who is willing to teach me for some monetary compensation i wud be willing to do that.

Pelican parts has very good write ups. Print out those pages, go out to your car and take your time to change it out. Compare pictures to real life etc. With time you will get it. After you change out that one injector go out and spend about $100 to have your fuel system cleaned. Fuel filter is also a good thing to change out since you are doing the fuel system, but on the pre 95 (I think is the year they changed the location) its kinda hard to get to. Maybe also check the psi of you fuel pump to make sure it works right. Id come out and help but Im in SF area.
