Central Locking woes (again)

So I've searched through all the forums, and have tried every suggestion as to how to fix these (*^&*((@#&@# locks.

Here's the scenario: The driver's door locks and unlocks everything. The passenger door locks and unlocks everything. The trunk locks everything, but only unlocks itself.

I have tried a new actuator (same), tried the old actuator in my fiance's car (it works), checked the wiring loom in the trunk lid (it's fine), and have used the multimeter to check voltage on the wires from the trunk actuator up to the point where it goes under the carpet in the rear seat area...

Any other suggestions? I'm really not wanting to go to the dealer for this, as they hear "electrical problem" and the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ start racking up. :

That's exactly what mine does... maybe it's that way by design? I can't say for certain because I bought my e36 used, but this is how it has always been for me.

The only reason why I know it's not supposed to be like that is that it worked correctly for the first year that I had the car. Then one morning, it didn't work anymore. Perhaps it's time to go to the dealer.....
