| Central Locking Help!
Just bought a 1994 (pre2/94) BMW 318i four door. So far I have fixed the bad e-brake switch, discovered the bundle of melted wires in the truck and fixed those, and partially fixed the Central Locking, but there is one thing I still can't figure out. When I use the key fob I hear the doors click but nothing happens. The windows roll up but the sunroof does not close. When I turn the key in any of the locks same thing, I hear clicking but nothing happens. The truck lock and gas door lock will lock with the he key fob, but not unlock. Also the interior light stays on like there is a door open somewhere. I attempted the "synchronize" the door locks and the sunroof, no change. I checked every door switch hood switch and trunk switch, all checked good with a multimeter. I checked every fuse, all good. I even tried disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to let the computer reset, no change. Currently I have one of the lock actuators disconnected in the rear passenger door after it took me an entire day to get that door opened after it stayed locked. I have a Bentley manual and I have read every blog and forum I can find but I am running out of ideas? |
