My cat. is on its way out. Check engine light had not come on yet, but gas mileage has been down and when I get on it hard I can smell that sulfur smell. My question is where can I get one the cheapest. I searched all over but the lowest price I can come up with is still over $500. Is this it? Has anyone gotten one for cheaper?

I would, but in CT now they are instituting new and improved Emissions Standard Testing..yaay.. So I am stuck with keeping the Cat. $500 bones is alot of money to drop on a stupid cat..

Since you're not going to go fancy with a new exhause, did you check the usual suspects...Midas or Meinke? Can't see how they'd charge $500 for that kind of a job.

I can put it on myself...just the part alone is over $500. Wouldn't hurt making a call but i doubt they can get the part cheaper than an online place

Its almost 700$ installed. I asked the guy at Midas when i had them bend my CAI. There is a place out there that only sells cats. You can get one for 380$ I think from them..... I am not sure what the website was. Should be easy to Google though.
