where can i get carpets for my '95 318i? i dont want to buy the BMW ones because they will probably cost me a fortune.

any experience with after market carpets?

What type of aftermarket carpets are you talking about? Are you meaning floor mats, or the actual carpet?

just the floor mats

my buddy said that pep boys or even ebay is a good idea. he said i can get a set for 23 bucks at pep boys.

bav auto sells some nice ones, but they range around 120.
They also sell vinyl mats for about 50.

The difference between those and the ones at pepe boys is that the ones at pep boys wont have the factory fit.

eBay is a great idea. That's probably your best bet for a factory fit. I'd stay away from pepboys just because a non-factory fit will get annoying. I am thinking about getting the factory fit rubber mats. I haven't looked around that much, but they are a nice addition. I've seen some with a huge (8" diameter) BMW prop in the middle. They looked bad ass, but I can't find them as of lately. They were on eBay.

i think i might get them from my mechanic. he can order me some for 100 bucks. he can get me e36 ones that will fit my car pefectly. i guess they are pretty much just like the stock ones. i forgot who the maker is though...

i hope i get the right color, there are so many to choice from off the samples.

does anyone know the color name for a '95 318i. the tan color.... blah.

are you sure its sand? it looked a little light. there was another color called... Lama or Cama that looked close, but it was darker.

To think of it, my car is 9 years old, its probably because of its age.

I'm pretty sure that the only colors that were available for a 95 318 were grey, sand, and black. I'll try to find out for sure, but I'm 99% now.

i have a 96 318ti and the only colors available for it were black, lt. grey, and sand. i think urs was the same too

Yeah. Those are also the BMW names for the interior. Not just a description, but the actual colors BMW calls it.
