Car wont start! PLEASE HELP =(! '94 BMW 318is

The ABS symbol and the exclamation point in the circle comes on after I've been driving a while but goes away after I turn the car off and back on again. then it comes on again after driving a while. Is that an electrical issue? I have a 94 BMW 318is. Now the car wont start at all. It makes a straining sort of noise when I try to crank it.

The ABS light may mean a fault in that system, but it can also mean a simple need for new brake fluid; maybe the fluid level is low. About the starting, if you've restarted many times in a short period, you may just have a low battery.

yea dead battery or bad starter what noise does it make when tring to start?

its like a straining sound. not like a wheezing or anything, its like its trying to start but it cant.
