I just noticed today that when i am in gear, driving along, and let off the gas pedal to coast, my car starts a semi, vibrating/jerking. I can hear it and feel it in my chair. Only happens when i am in gear and in any gear(i think, although i haven't noticed it in first.). As soon as i left off the gas, thats when i can feel it, and as soon as i step on the gas again, it goes away.
It might be a bad spark plug or a cylinder not firing. I had the same problem in my montero awhile ago and I had to get new spark plugs. It worked fine after that. Dunno.
Check your driveshaft guibo. It's a rubber disk that connects the driveshaft to the transmission. They are known to wear out more or less quickly, depending on the driving style.
man are you lucky! one time my dad was on his way to work in my old 79 dodge truck and when he came close to the stop light, he felt something shake then the truck started wobbling, then the truck leaned hard to the driver rear side and he watched the driver side rear tire/wheel go thru the intersection...crazy stuff

Um, when my brother used to drive our POS jeep he came walking up the street one day. Went in the garage got a wrench and walked away.
About 15 mins later he comes driving up and says he lost the right front tire. It went bouncing down the road, lucky it was only in a neighborhood and not ont he highway.
Another time when i was driving that stupid thing (god those lugs won't stay put!) i felt a vibration in the rear while on the highway, pulled over and looked, about 3 of the lugs on the same wheel were loose. So i tightened them as best i could with the cruddy little wrench in the car.
Anyways, I drove 45 the whole way home, first time I've ever been passed by a cop that didn't have his lights on..... Now I torque those stupid lugs twice before I drive it.
