car un even after jacking

hi guys,

i was jacking my back right tire down i noticed an usual creaking sound as it lowered and now the car doesn't sit as level as it should. it sat much higher than normal when completely lowered and i noticed as i started the car and put it into gear i felt it something slip into place. its now about an inch lower from the wheel arch than from what the left tire sits. I've tried all sorts of things to get it level again like jacking up the other side etc. I have no clue wht it could be. i cant see anything thing wrong with the springs but then again i cant really tell. any ideas?

Is it possible that the spring isn't sitting in its normal base or top mounting position?
Does the car make any suspension noises now when you are driving it?
