Car Starts Then Shuts Off.. Help

I have a 328is 5 speed

The car starts up fine, then all of a sudden the RPMS drop to zero even though the clutch is still in. Now if i sit there and rev the engine, the rpms jump up and down like usual, but as soon as i take my foot off the gas, it shuts off..
It ran fine about 2 hours ago.

Sounds to me like the idle control valve is dead.

maf... or o2 sensors... thats what i would check out!

none of the check engine lights are on.. what would i be looking for in the maf.. i would like to do it myself.. or it would have to be towed to the a mechanic.. thats the last thing i want to do

aight, new problem... i reved the sh*t outta it,, and while i was doing that, sounded like some weird sucking coming from near the air filter and/or maf..

but bottom line..
the car works fine now..

what should be my next step.. does this has to be cleaned.. (is there a diy) or replaced..

damn bro, I have the exact same problem as you... i have a 1993 325i, my car shuts off like after driving around 50 when Im coming to a stop, and the same thing.... if i dont give gas it shuts off... I read the DIY for the ICV but i still can't find the idle control valve on my car... what did you do to yours? or if anyone can help me where is mine???

O2 sensor...need replacing
and/or clean ICV valves.
