swift707 is an unknown quantity at this point
ive noticed my steering wheel shakes whenever i get on the freeway or when i drive faster than 60mph. whats the deal? anybody know what the problem is?

if that doesnt work control arm or ball joints may cause that shaking

Ball joints or the control arm bushings (control arms do not often fail). There are bushings on the end of the control arms that do wear out.

I wouldn't replace the tires until after I have checked the balance and alignment.

If your tires are well worn it might be a good time to replace them though.
