| I replaced my DME for '94 318is from a cheap EBay auction. Lucky me
for finally getting a break in a very unlucky situation. (high pressure car wash,
bad idling, bad A/C idling)
But the last mechanic I visited said I would need to reprogram my DME
once I replaced it. He said I would need to go to the dealer and shell out
close to 200$+ to do this.
My question: Has anyone ever swapped DME's before? Was a reprogram
really necessary? My problems have been seemingly fixed but I don't
want to get bit in the ass for this later on. |
