Exclamation Can you program a stock alarm swithcher?

hey I know this has probebly been asked but I havnt been able to find it and I REALLY need this info. before tomorrow....

So my question is...I bought a 1999 323is and the dealership said that someone stole the alarm trigger for the factory installed keyless entry and alarm...so they are buying me a new one...but I was wondering if there was anyway that I could program the trigger myself?

because i really dont want to have to pay for an hour labor to have them just do something very simple.
