Can I use HK speakers with non-HK amp?

Hi, I have a question on audio upgrade from non-HK speakers to used HK speakers with non-Hk amp?

My M3 has stock non-HK system of 1998.
Recently I bought two pieces of door speakers, so I want to install the speakers instead of the non-HK door speakers.
Is it no problem?
(No sound, smaller sound or something)
If it is OK, I will try to purchase for used HK amp.

You need to look at the ratings for the speakers and the amp. Using speakers with different impedance values than an amp is rated for can cause serious issues. Most factory car stereos run odd-ball ohm values on the speakers so the more speakers can be series or paralleled to a single amp. Important fact here is, know what load the speakers are going to place on the amp and what the amp can handle prior to wiring it. Knowing these values will dictate how it is wired or if it should even be wired up.
