Can I Upgrade My Climate Control Easily?

Im trying to get my A/C going since its getting hot here in Texas now. Looks like my stock controls are broken. Can I upgrade to a digital climate control or something better than what I have without too much trouble?

Yeah...but I always hear on this forum that the digital is more sensitive and prone to screwing up than the analogue. I've also heard the conversion is expensive and/or a tedious DIY and not probably worth it either....

I have the digital, and I wish I didn't!

German cars are always well engineered mechanically. Electrically speaking, they suck.

Germans just can't make electronic components with the same level of durability as Japanese cars. Even the electrical components in American cars last longer.

I'd stick with the analog type if I were you.

To convert you need to rip open the dash and put in all the servos and wiring for the digital climate control to work, its an expensive and useless mod.

I think this falls into the "grass is greener on the otherside" catagory. The analog guys want digital, and the digital guys just want a system that always works.
