How easy or uneasy is it to change the rear callipers on a bmw 328i Convertible, the garage have told me that the axle has been changed sometime in the cars life-time - and the calipers which are on it now are not wide enough to allow vented discs on - which should be on the car by all rights
Not that hard, you take off the calipers during a brake pad change anyways, but you have to bleed the brake system after you change, not too much extra work. Since you have to remove the calipers to change brake rotors, the only extra expense would be parts to buy larger calipers.
It sounds like you've got the axle off of the coupe or sedan and you're going to have to update so you can put the calipers on.
