hey guys, i was reading some of the posts on CAI' s and the like, and was just curious, what exactly is debaffling your airbox and does it help?
thanks for any input.

I don't know about the 4's, but the 6 cylinder airbox has a baffle in it to redirect airflow. It's in there mostly for decreasing intake noise. Taking the baffle out supposedly gives better airflow into the engine. Mine is debaffled. It is a little louder and I'm not sure if there are any gains, maybe high up in the rpm range? Cheaper than an aftermarket intake (like free).

if u pop your hood... its right behind the driverside headlight... where the hole is...??

there is a pice of plastic that u can remove to make that hole bigger, which would result in "more air flow".. or a deeper sound...

your best bet, is to remove the airbox, and just examine it.. and just take the peice out!
