| Loose plug?
Did you pull it out and just check the plug and wiring behind it? Do you have the code for it? If not the dealer can get it for you with proof of ownership. I've got an old one I pulled out of a '97 you can have if you want it, but really, they're a POS head unit and you'd be much better off just replacing it with an aftermarket Alpine or something like that. You will hear a night and day difference in your sound system simply swapping out the head unit. But there's a ton of C33 head units on Ebay for about $10. The more desirable one is the CD43, but they're as pricey as a better aftermarket unit.
