I have a problem which is a big mistery

a/c comes on for a short period of time when engine is cold, comes on when engine is hot for about an hour ...then on/then off.....it various

then the lights respond then they dont all seems to have a mind of it's own....we checked the obvious.

If it is the sensor (temp) where is it located ?

Nevada temp is in the 3digid and without A/C it's no fun, there are just no obvious answers

Any suggestions...?

It is your climate control computer. Need to have it replaced or do it yourself for under $2.00. Check this link. I did it and it works fine now. http://www.macadamizer.com/bmwfix.html

I had the same problem on my '97 a little while ago, i went and had the computer replaced (which i should have done by myself, but i'm an idiot dealer=devil$$) and it works perfectly now.
