I have an E36 1995 BMW 325i and i am trying to figure out how to disable my EWS II. My car started turning over after I jumped Pins 1 and 3 on the yellow EWS plug, however it does not fully start. I also clipped the green wire #66 on that plug but it did not seem to help. Anyone with any info and help would be appreciated.

In 1995 EWS came to the US as EWS2. There was never a EWS in the US only in Europe.
Jumping pins 1 and 3 normally will work on EWS2 cars. If you jump those pins and the car still will not start maybe there is another problem in the car. What is the background? Has the car ever started before? what is your reason for bypassing the EWS?
Well I lost my only key and I went to BMW to get a new one and they told me all 10 have been used up. They said that the only thing i could do was get a key that could just open my car for $50 or get the car re keyed for $1,200. So i am looking for a cheaper route.
